By Thursday, November 4, 2021 0

Of all our Christmas traditions here in Britain, one of the most loved is visiting Christmas markets. The festive atmosphere, the amazing things you find, the new foods you get to try – there’s nothing quite like a good Christmas market. Although this year has been uncertain, the coming of Christmas and all the seasonal fun it will bring is more than certain, and since we missed out on so much last year, it’s only fair we make up for it this December! So to get you and your family in a festive mood, here are the best Christmas markets from all over the U.K. that you can enjoy this year.

All of the markets in this article are subject to the local Covid restrictions and guidelines, so make sure to check the websites before going to avoid disappointment.

These sell a range of locally made decorations, food, drinks (we highly recommend the mulled wine) and classic gifts suitable for all ages. Once you’ve wandered your way around the beautifully traditional market stalls, take the kids over to the Victorian fair, where a carousel and helter-skelter will be waiting to welcome them. Then, finally, when you’re completely shopped out, drop into Thor’s Tipi for a break and a cosy warm drink – what more could you need at Christmas?
