This was my son’s first visit to get a Christmas Tree (age 2). He was so excited seeing all the Christmas trees that he was jumping in and out of them saying he was chipmunk having watched Mikey Mouse Christmas the night before.!

This pic was taken last Christmas and it’s a pic of my new family and their 1st Christmas in England. We are guardians to my partners American nieces since Feb 2015 and this was their 1st English Christmas. We also got Molly the cockapoo in June last year so this was her1st Christmas too. We all dressed up in Christmas jumpers (including Molly) it was one of my best Christmas’s just to see the pleasure on these girls faces.

This is Benjamin. He was born 24th October 2008 and was born at 25 weeks. Me & my husband had never walked past a hospital at Christmas let alone sit in a hospital on Christmas day. We were very overwhelmed when we spent the day in hospital on Christmas day. We had gifts given to us, hot chocolate, sweets and lots of lovely cards with well wishes. Another great gift was given to us and that was a simple gift. We were both aloud to bath our baby boy. He wasn’t always well but he was so strong that we were able to bath him. A simple thing for others but the world to myself and husband. I couldn’t tell you what else happened that day. I can’t recall any gifts I received from family. It was completely about Benjamin & to top the day of we stayed and watched the choir singers. God bless to all the staff on that day and I can understand why they work on Christmas day. They made it magical.

My Christmas memory is an old one from when I was young – this is the one Christmas that my Gran spent with us as she lived in Australia. As you can see from my face I was terrified when she set light to our Christmas pudding 🙂 This has always been a memorable photo.
I’m also wearing the Christmas jumper she knitted for me – I was rocking the novelty jumper trend way back!

So I’m a guy who loves Christmas and part of my background is theatre lighting. So yes, I am known for always lighting my tree with probably a few more Christmas lights than most. Last year I decided I wanted to try some new LED lights and bought a strand of multi-clolour ones. Of course my little boy was very excited and wanted to decorate the tree. He told us he was going to put the lights on the tree like Daddy. This is the result which he was very proud of. Who wouldn’t be? [Just so you know we are looking for a 2nd Christmas tree, so despite my love of adding lights, a pre-lit one would be great too].

This is Texas or Tex for short exploring the tree on his first Christmas with us. He and my young son were inseparable but sadly we only had him in our lives for 2 years. This photo comes out every year and makes us smile.

My favourite moment was a year ago when my whole little family had a weekend together ( this doesn’t happen very much as I work shifts) and we spent the morning doing Christmas crafts and then the afternoon putting up the Christmas tree. It was then made perfect by getting my favourite family selfie photo we have ever taken. Christmas is all about family time

My favourite christmas moment was back in 2010 – my first borns first christmas. She was born premature and was in and out of hospital for the first few months of her life. Our first outing to Tesco when she was 3 months old, i put a christmas hat on her and she went cross eyed. This memory will always put a smile on my face as it was the first time i realised that no matter how worrying times can be when your a mummy – your children always manage to make you smile.

I loved dressing my baby up for her first Christmas Day! I’m even more excited this year now that she is 3 and can enjoy the magic of Christmas like putting up the tree and leaving a carrot out for Rudolph. I can’t wait!
